Black Hooded Figures

In 2013 a couple saw two extremely thin, deathly pale white humanoids wearing black hooded cloaks walking down the road in front of their rural home in Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. They were about six feet tall, the same height as an average man. The first thing that the wife thought when she saw these strange black hooded figures was that they were unlike anything she had ever seen before and that they did not belong there. It was not Halloween, so they doubted that these were people walking to a costume party at someone’s house. The area is so rural and the houses are so far apart that the children in the area do not even walk house to house for trick or treating on this road. It was a very creepy, explainable experience for both of them.

About 23 years earlier, the couple's son-in-law spotted a black hooded figure in Enon Valley while driving home one night on route 551. It stood about five and a half feet tall and was extremely pale white with no visible facial features. It reminded the witness of an alien. Later on, he and his wife were driving in the same vicinity and saw a bright blue light that hovered in front of their car and quickly shot off. He and his wife also saw a group of black-hooded figures in a field on a desolate country road in New Galilee, Pennsylvania while spotting for deer.

About ten miles from Enon Valley, a group of black hooded figures was also seen in the Tindall Family Cemetery in Chewton, Pennsylvania.

These black hooded figures have not only been spotted in Pennsylvania but all over the world. They have also been seen in many different locations such as in the woods by hunters and in people’s homes. Some wake up in the middle of the night and see these entities staring at them.

The most well-known black hooded figure in folklore is probably the Grim Reaper who comes to take those who are dying. Could these black hooded figures be personifications of death or illness? Many believe they are very bad omens of death or illness for those who are unlucky enough to see them. Sometimes people report becoming very ill after these sightings just like those who encounter the black eyed kids, which have been often seen wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts and having very pale skin as well.

Due to the negative feelings that people have when they witness these black hooded figures, many believe they are negative entities or even demonic entities. Certain versions of the boogeyman such as Omul Negru are sometimes described wearing a black hood.

Descriptions of black hooded humanoids that have deathly pale white skin are also reminiscent of the folklore of the vampire. Surprisingly, vampire lore can be tied to fairy lore because certain fairy lore says that fairies are the souls of the dead. Old fairy folklore has also been linked to modern day alien lore. There is a race of aliens called the tall whites that also have very pale white skin. Black hooded figures have also been encountered under the ground in caves and mine shafts. Fairies and elementals have also been associated with caves and mining for a very long time.
